First invented in China in 1041, the printing press as we know it today was invented in the West by a German goldsmith and eventual printer, Johann Gutenberg, in the 1450s.

The discovery and establishment of the printing of books with moveable type marks a paradigm shift in the way information was transferred in the world. The impact of printing is comparable to the development of language, the invention of the alphabet, and the invention of the computer as far as its effects on society.

Since that evolution, the printing media industry has evolved tremendously with technology and has helped all aspect of marketing and communication among today’s industries.

he Phoenix salmon fly, originated by Jacques Héroux, celebrates Richard Wilson, the owner of one of New Brunswick’s most exciting and advanced screen printing enterprise.
