The "La Savoie" Salmon Fly

From its modest inception in 1978, Groupe Savoie Inc has become an international force in the production of hardwood products. It is now one of the main economic forces in the northern region of New Brunswick.

Color Legend

Jacques's selection of colors for the "Savoie", a traditional featherwing salmon fly, celebrates the vision of Groupe Savoie Enterprise and his President, Jean-Claude Savoie.

  • The colors Green, Yellow and Brown on the wings to represent the colors of hardwood trees from North of NB
  • The orange on the underwing represents International Organizations of standardization, ISO 14 0001
  • The silver Body is the same than the "Silver Rat", and excellent salmon fly for the magnificent Restigouche River
  • Green hackle as the color in Groupe Savoie's logo
  • The Red head means that Groupe Savoie is a well established Canadian enterprise
  • Blue and gold horns represent the importance of "Research and Innovation" for this company in a competitive world
